               Education plays a pivotal role in the process of socioeconomic development of every nation and it has a very close link with the nation’s economic development and growth. Education is a continuous process of imparting knowledge, developing skills, inculcating values and promoting the overall development of human beings. Imparting quality education is greatly influenced by different factors viz., Curriculum, Faculty, Information source, Teaching methods, Examination system, Evaluation mechanism, and Infrastructure.

Rural areas create a microcosm of the country. The advancement in science and technology, especially IT and communication systems have reached the door steps of the villages today. Hence, the entire world has shrunk into a global village. As such, the rural youth are aspiring for global opportunities. The need of the hour therefore, is to set up educational institutions of global standards to cater to their aspirations and to make them compete with their urban counter parts in facing the challenges and grabbing the opportunities.
